Mauldin Land & Cattle began with Sid Mauldin’s belief that “land is one thing that is irreplaceable.” His family’s ranching roots inspired his dream of owning land along Hwy 207, south of Claude — a place he and Dawna admired for years.
After searching ranches across the Southwest, a small three-line ad in the Amarillo paper changed everything:
13,000 acres • South of Claude • Live water.
Shortly after, the land became theirs — the very place they had always hoped to call home.
Mauldin Land & Cattle became more than a ranch; it became a legacy, a family landmark, and Sid’s final resting place — a piece of Texas heritage that continues to guide everything built here today.
After Sid’s passing, we sold 10,000 acres of this remarkable property to reduce long-term maintenance for both Dawna and for Jordan Lee, who now carries the torch of this land with the same passion and respect Sid always had.
For years, Mauldin Land & Cattle hosted weddings, gatherings, and community events — but we knew it was capable of becoming something far greater. Jordan and Marka combined their ideas, put their vision on paper, and began bringing it to life: new structures, expanded water access, and a wedding venue designed to be unlike anything else — a place destined to become the finest destination in the Texas Panhandle and beyond.
Today, Jordan, Marka, and their children — Briggs, Kelton, and Kylee — are the hands, hearts, and driving force behind every improvement. From every fence line to every cabin, and every event held under these wide Texas skies, this ranch is built, maintained, and loved by our family.
When you choose Mauldin Land & Cattle, you’re not just booking a venue —
you’re becoming part of a legacy, cared for by a family who pours their love, history, and pride into making your day truly unforgettable, while also honoring the history and legacy that came before us.
